Hummus

A recipe for homemade hummus that'll have you making more in no time.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup tahini (roasted, not raw)
  • 1/2 cup Primo's Tuscan Herb Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, mashed and chopped
  • 1 15-oz can chickpeas drained
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp Seasonello Sardegna (Sardinia) Sea Salt

Optional garnishes

  • a sprinkle of paprika
  • a swirl of Primo's Tuscan Herb Olive Oil
  • toasted pine nuts
  • chopped parsley

Instructions
 

  • Add tahini and Primo's Tuscan Herb Olive Oil in a food processor or blender and mix until smooth.
  • Add the garlic, chickpeas*, lemon juice, water, and salt. Process/blend until smooth.
  • Add to a serving bowl, drizzle some of Primo's Tuscan Herb Olive Oil on the top and sprinkle with garnishes if you choose. Enjoy!
  • * To make an extra creamy hummus rinse your chickpeas in warm water and slip them out of their skins before adding them to the blender.
