What are Balsamic Mocktails or Cocktails?

Balsamic Cocktails & Mocktails are a delightful way to enjoy a celebratory drink using balsamic vinegar as your base mixer. This delightful concoction blends the rich flavors of Primo’s balsamic vinegar with your choice of alcohol or seltzer, creating a versatile beverage perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re enjoying a cozy evening at home or hosting friends, this formula will elevate your drink game with minimal effort.

Ingredients for Balsamic Mocktails & Cocktails

To whip up a tantalizing drink, gather the following ingredients:

  • 1.5 tbsp of your choice of dark or white balsamic vinegar (favorites include Apricot, Blackberry-Ginger, Cranberry-Pear, Dark Chocolate, or Pomegranate)
  • 8 oz seltzer (or club soda, soda water, or tonic water)
  • 1 wedge or slice of fresh fruit (such as lemon or lime, or fresh mint for garnish)

If you want to turn this into a cocktail just add 3 tbsp of your choice of alcohol. Consider Bourbon, Gin, Tequila, Vodka, or Whisky.

How to Make These Refreshing Drinks

In just a few simple steps, you’ll have a delightful drink ready to enjoy!

Pour your chosen balsamic vinegar and alcohol (if using) over a glass filled with ice. We like to use a small crushed ice for these drinks instead of large cubes. Stir the balsamic and alcohol. Add the seltzer and gently mix again. Taste your creation and adjust any flavors to your liking. Finally, garnish with fresh fruit or mint leaves for a pop of color and flavor. Serve immediately and relish every sip!

Balsamic Cocktails & Mocktails Alternatives

Feel free to experiment with different balsamic flavors and alcohol pairings to suit your palate. Try adding a splash of fresh juice or herbs for an extra twist! We love adding lime, lemon, or grapefruit to further expand the flavors you can work with.

Add your Mocktail to brunch by trying a Balsamic Bloody Mary or Balsamic Peach Spritz. Just skip the alcohol in these recipes. Your balsamic vinegar adds plenty of zing!

How to Serve Balsamic Cocktails & Mocktails

These drinks are perfect for any gathering—serve them at dinner parties, barbecues, or simply as a refreshing treat on a warm day. And it’s especially nice to have a drink that can easily work for those partaking or abstaining from alcohol. You don’t have to worry about leaving anyone out at your party.

How to Store Leftovers

If you find yourself with leftover ingredients, store the unused balsamic vinegar and seltzer separately. Balsamic vinegar keeps best in a dark, sealed bottle out of direct sunlight. Balsamic vinegar can be kept for several years if stored in the right conditions. Your leftover seltzer will be good for a day or two if stored in an air-tight container in the fridge. Fresh fruit should be consumed promptly for the best flavor.

Cheers to refreshing sips and memorable moments!
