Instructions
- Prepare the Grill or Skillet: Heat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Brush with a bit of butter or oil to prevent sticking.
- Grill the Hot Dogs: Place the hot dogs on the grill or skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are heated through and have nice grill marks.
- Toast the Buns: While the hot dogs are cooking, place the hot dog buns on the grill or skillet to lightly toast them. This step adds a delightful crunch to your hot dogs.
- Assemble the Hot Dogs: Place each grilled hot dog into a toasted bun. Top with a generous spoonful of Primo Sweet Pepper Relish and a combination of your favorite toppings such as shredded cheese, sautéed mushrooms, pickled jalapeños, crispy bacon bits, or fresh herbs.
- Add Condiments: Serve with mustard and ketchup on the side for those who desire an extra kick of flavor.
- Serve and Enjoy: Arrange your Fancy Hot Dogs on a platter and serve immediately while they are warm and inviting.
Special Tips and Variations:
- Cheese Lovers' Twist: Add a slice of your favorite cheese to each hot dog before topping with the sweet pepper relish for an extra indulgent treat.
- Spicy Kick: For those who enjoy a bit of heat, sprinkle some crushed red pepper flakes over the hot dogs before serving.
- Vegetarian Option: Substitute the hot dogs with your favorite vegetarian or vegan sausage for a plant-based twist on this classic dish.
