Primo Tacos, a Mexican-Californian fusion dish with a little kick of spiciness and savory flavors. These tacos serve 4 people and feature ground beef, Persian Olive Oil, and Chipotle Olive Oil.
1cupshredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or your choice)
1/2cupsour cream
1/2cuppico de gallo
Fresh cilantro leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Heat the Persian Olive Oil and Chipotle Olive Oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until they become soft and translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the ground beef to the skillet. Use a spatula to break it apart as it cooks. Cook the beef until it's browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
Season the beef with ground cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well to evenly distribute the spices. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to let the flavors meld. Taste and adjust the seasonings as needed.
While the beef is cooking, warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave them for about 20 seconds until they are pliable.
To assemble each taco, spoon a portion of the seasoned ground beef onto the center of a tortilla. Top it with shredded cheese, a dollop of sour cream, and a spoonful of pico de gallo.
If you like it spicier, you can drizzle a bit of extra Chipotle Olive Oil on top of the fillings.
Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves if desired.
Fold the tortilla over the filling, and your Primo Tacos are ready to serve!
Special Tips and Variations:
For extra heat, you can add diced jalapeños or a few dashes of hot sauce to the ground beef mixture.
Customize your toppings to your liking; you can add sliced avocado, shredded lettuce, or pickled jalapeños for extra flavor and texture.
If you prefer a different protein, you can substitute ground chicken, turkey, or plant-based crumbles for the ground beef.
